2000 -2018 Identity, Culture Clashes, Climate Change

After the new century began in 2000 the world began to transform rapidly through the use of advanced technologies, e.g. the internet, the development and use of social media, ect. Societies and individuals communicated now on a global scale shrinking the old notions of time and space. People were confronted with cultures and global opinions previously not considered. Forging new identities, questioning old prejudices, the effects of the new technologies on the environment, climate change and fears for the future were prevalent .
